Stephen is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.

Previously, Stephen held senior management roles at a number of investment businesses, where he developed an expertise in a range of sectors including restaurants, leisure, renewable energy and real estate.

He graduated from Durham University in 1990 and holds an MBA from CASS Business School.

Jay Bothroyd

Business Development

Jay is a successful media personality appearing regularly on Sky Sports, talkSPORT and shares his views with his 400k social media followers   

Jay is focused on expanding the 8Point8 deal pipeline and network of investors. Jay is an investor in a number of businesses including a market place for designers and a F & B group.

Jay is able to leverage his broad network of contacts to originate unique investment opportunities and unearth strategic/value add investors.       

Jay is a former professional international football player whose career spanned 21 years starting at the Arsenal Academy. His career included spells in Japan, Thailand and Italy as well as the English Leagues.
 

Nick Astaire

Director

Nick has working in regulated financial services for over 20 years, having started his career at a small cap stockbroking business in London. Previously, Nick built an alternative investment business that funded over £350m of real estate investments including 2 hotels and 3 data centres and launched one of the first AIM quoted EIS funds in the UK.

He has spent his working life in smaller companies and has an excellent insight into the issues faced by entrepreneurs as they grow businesses.

He is a graduate of the University of Leeds Business School and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.

Dean Pooley

Business Development

Dean is an experienced property developer, manager and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Flagstone Homes which focuses on residential property developments in the Southy East outside of London.
 
Dean is focused on expanding the 8Point8 pipeline of deals and network of investors. 

Dean will be able to leverage his broad network of contacts to originate unique investment opportunities and bring strategic/value add investors to enhance 8Point8 transactions.       
 
Dean is a former professional football player who played in the English Leagues and Ireland Dean retired in 2015 when he worked at Ebbsfleet United as the Executive Vice Chairman.
